Radiation is all around us, but too much radiation is a bad thing. So are we all just screwed from all the microwaves, radio waves, x-rays, radon, ultraviolet radiation and even rainbows? Well not exactly.
So what amount of radiation are we able to resist? In this Ted-Ed video animation they will explain that not all radiation is created equal, we just have to protect ourselves from the ionising radiation(duuhh). Furthermore, the animation details how much radiation is actually damaging for us and that is four Sieverts(400 millisieverts)!
Not all radiation is created equal, we just have to protect ourselves from the ionising one!
Sieverts what? Sieverts is the way they can measure the health effect of low levels of ionising radiation on the human body.
